Hello, my name is Marie Lavallee. Welcome to Sewcialize!
I am a self-taught sewer, photographer, textile designer and yarn enthusiast who is always seeking to learn new creative skills to share with others and challenge myself.
As a Vancouver-born and raised photographer, I focus my lens to capture Vancouver’s most iconic locations. From there I started a successful business printing my photos onto fabric to create unique handmade bags, clothing and accessories.
When I am not creating for my business I work as a sewing assistant, teaching sewing skills to some of Vancouver’s most resilient women in the Downtown Eastside. I am passionate about empowering women to live a positive and healthy lifestyle and hope to inspire them to recognize their true potential through skills training and creative outlets. I enjoy being a part of a productive and supportive community for women who create and share with one another their experience, strength and hope.
With your support, we will be able to provide women with an opportunity to explore their creativity while gaining experience and knowledge and providing them with a supplementary income.
As a small local business owner, I would like to thank you for taking the time to support our dreams. We look forward to creating one-of-a-kind products for you all to enjoy!
